New Ice Rink in Keystone, Colorado
Keystone Resort has started construction on the new ice rink that will be located in Dercum Square of River Run in Keystone, Colorado. The project was proposed to the county back in spring of 2011. The new Keystone ice rink is scheduled to be complete and open for business Thanksgiving 2011. The addition of the ice rink in River Run Village will be a great extension to all River Run Condo owners and guests.
What was proposed is for Dercum Square to be shut down to vehicular traffic and add a more pedestrian, village feel to the area surrounding Expedition Station, Dakota Lodge and Buffalo Lodge Condos. The ice rink is said to have pole-mounted lights surrounding the rink and strings of lights crossing above the ice, making for beautiful mountain ice skating ambiance. During the summer the rink has been proposed to be available for inline and roller skating. The new Keystone Ice Rink will be open the public. The Lakeside Village Ice Rink in Keystone will also be open for ice skating this winter.
