Frisco Colorado’s Fantastic Fourth of July Celebration 2013
Frisco Colorado’s fantastic Fourth of July celebration is a wonderful way to spend the holiday in a small mountain town in Summit County. The day kicks off at 8am with a pancake breakfast at 3rd and Granite Street to benefit Team Summit, the local ski/snowboard team. After your tasty breakfast head on over to the Meadow Creek Pond located behind Walmart for the annual Kid’s Fishing Derby from 9-11am. Please bring your own fishing pole and remember this event is free and for kids under the age of 12. After your child has caught the biggest fish and had their photo taken to be published in the Summit Daily News head back to Main Street for the Kid’s Decorated Bike Contest!
Make sure you claim a spot on Frisco’s Main Street for the 12:30pm Fourth of July Parade. After the parade, there will be live music at the Frisco Historic Park from 1:30-3:30pm with Jakarta. Jakarta plays a mix of R&B, disco, and funk to get your booty shaking! Remember to stop in and grab a bite to eat at one of the many delicious Frisco restaurants as well.
After enjoying all that Frisco Colorado’s Main Street has to offer head on over to the Frisco Marina. The Frisco Marina is a great place to lay out your blanket, take in the live music by Cody Canada and the Departed from 7:15-9:15pm. There will also be food vendors, activities for kids and of course spectacular views across Lake Dillon. The Frisco fireworks start at 9:30pm out over Lake Dillon.
