Summit County Colorado Real Estate Sales Breakdown – August 2013
Summit County Colorado Real Estate continues to be on the upswing.  As of the end of July 2013, there have been 1,058 sales; of those, 876 were residential sales and 182 were land transactions.  This is an increase of 17.6% over the same period in 2012 when there were only 899 sales, 745 of those were residential and 154 were land sales.  Overall sales volume has also improved by 15.4% compared to 2012 with over $380 million in sales YTD in 2013 versus around $330 million for the same time period in 2012.  Below you can see the breakdown of sales so far in 2013 by area and type of property.

Every year, Breckenridge Real Estate sales tend to outnumber those of other towns by nearly double.  This year is no exception with 45% of the number of transactions having occurred in Breckenridge with 346 sales.  A nearby 2nd is Silverthorne Real Estate sales with 19% of overall Summit County transactions which has totaled 146 sales.  There were 96 sales in Keystone, 88 transactions in Dillon, Frisco had 70 sales and Copper Mountain had 4% of the sales with 32 transactions.

Overall sales volume had similar results to the number of transactions by town in Summit County Real Estate.  Breckenridge Real Estate took a stronger lead with 55% of the total sales volume as of July 31, 2013.  This is a very common trend in Summit County Real Estate since Breckenridge has many more properties than other town and property prices in Breckenridge Real Estate tend to be more expensive on average.
